Does anyone have any ideas for me as to how I can make a card box for my wedding? I was thinking about going to HomeDepot or something like that and purchasing very thin wood and make a box, cut a hole though the top for the cards, spray paint it white and then decorate it with ribbons and other cute things, what do you think?

this was our DIY cardbox. we decorated a hat box and cut a slit in the top.
i'm putting 4 picture frames together withcorner brackets, then placing a bottom, and top with a slit.

I went to my local craft store and bought hat boxes and decorated them. We made it look like a wedding cake.

I did one for my engagment party - got the filing boxes from stapels... hot glued the top on / cut a slit and decorated....

We're having a garden themed wedding so we bought a planter from AC Moore-wooden and are going to white wash it so it looks weathered and then wrapping fake gerber garlands around it. We also had my dad make a top with a slit and will add a lock. I'll post pics when it's donw.

Pretty good. We did the lid and attached it but my dads being slow with the painting so may have my FFIL do it because he likes tasks-a little nuerotic lol. When we get it done I'll send pics-thanks again fror recommending it! We also had to cut out the bottom of it.

u can find them in places like michaels, ac moore, marshalls and homegoods
