So, when I ordered my card box from for the modern bride back in July I was SO excited to get it. I ordered a 3 gift card box, because thats what i wanted. I liked the way that one looked the best, and thats why i chose it. I got an email today from them saying that they completed my card box and that in order to incorporate all my colors the way my designer envisioned it, they decided to upgrade me to a 4 gift card box. which dont get me wrong, is an awesome thing for them to do and i think its cool that they did that for me. but, its not really what i wanted. and i know this part is gonna sound crazy, but the top box... something about the height of it in comparison with the others bothers me (i have serious issues with symmetry, which is why i loved the 3 gift box). So i emailed them and told them i loved it, but asked if they could use a shorter more 'squat' looking box for the top one (if you look through their gallery you'll see what i mean in some of the other 4 gift card boxes). And they responded saying theres nothing they can do, its all glued together and it will ruin the whole box to change it.
i know this probably all sounds ridiculous and maybe i'm just bugging cuz my wedding is next weekend, and i DO think its pretty and do think it was nice of them to upgrade me, but its not really what i actually wanted - should i just get over it?????????

I think its very pretty, to me the symetry does not look off at all,
I think with 2 weeks left to go, you should keep it, and not send it back, honestly i ordered mine from them and u know where it is, sitting on the floor in an empty room covered in dust!
Its gonna be gorgeous in person don't worry!

that makes me very mad for you ! its not what you asked for and its not an upgrade if they dont ask u first!!!! i would write a very angry aggresive email and phone call if i were u... they sell other products they should compendate you ! i have issues with Symmetry 2 and i totally agree with you it looks off... better yet let me call them... that is awful way to do business

I think it came out great. Really it doesn't look off symetrically (sp). Your guests are going to love and with so little time left to your wedding I wouldn't send it back. I agree that they should have contacted you first to ask if it was okay to make it 4 boxes instead of 3 but I guess they figured you wouldn't mind.

thanks for all your input ladies. I mulled it over all night and decided to just let it go even though it did bother me because i have other fish to fry at this point than to get myself all worked up over a box. (for example how i conveniently ignored the fact that my dads wife was going to have to walk down the aisle at some point but i never worked her into the ceremony or processional.... oops)
but, when i checked my email before bed, they had emailed me twice already, the first saying that they were very sorry i wasnt happy with it and that they were going to try to fix it for me. Then a second email said that they were able to cut the top box down and they will be sending me a new pic today. I'll post it as soon as i get it. So everything worked itself out and i didnt even have to complain about it

I think it looks fine...but I also know I would not be happy if it was not what I wanted.....
I also know that I am getting married next week and the last 2 days I have had to choose my battles!!!
It looks beautiful...so you just gotta weigh where it is on the importance meter!

So glad to hear it's working out for you without you feeling like you have to compromise!!! Can't wait to see the updated mock-up.
As far as your step-mother goes... my dad is either going to walk mine in and then come back around to get me, or she's going to just go to the front and be in the front before we begin along with her family. Those are my options, depending on if one of the GM whose wife is expecting a month after the wedding comes or not. (If he does, then my brother will walk my step-mom... if he doesn't, my brother has to walk my FSIL whose husband is in Afghanistan, so step-mom is on her own.)
You'll figure it out.

i dont know anything about symmetry,it looks really beautful to me...but its notmy box..if u r unhappy u should get wat u want..u paid for this so u should be happy..if they can fix it in a wee then go for it..just make sure u will have t b4 the wedding
