Card Boxes - My mom is worried that
someone will try to take the envelopes out? I never thought of it b/c the guests are my friends and family. She thinks I'm crazy for using a card box and should walk around with a bag all day.Did anyone else have these concerns? If so, what did you do about it?
Thanks!

ther eput behind where your are sitting so they are safe and just for extra measure i would put a lock on it once the envelopes are in they need a key to get out.

I don't think anyone would want to hold them. They don't want to feel 'responsible' should anything go wrong.
The box we have doesn't have a lock.

I didn't really have that problem because the card cake I made for my e-party opened from the bottom. It would have been very obvious if something flipped it over and opened it up!Maybe if it isn't too lateyou could rethink the box you have....if not, I am sure it will be fine.
Good luck!

It should be ok... we didnt put our cards in anything. If my aunt saw us with some in our hand she took them and put them on the mantle in the reception room. We didn't lose any and none were taken. If you put the box under your table or someplace discreet, no one would even think to take it. I think they will be fine.

I actually have the same concern. I just found out that someone who had gotten married where my reception is going tobe her cards got taken. Can you imagine that.At least half of her cards were taken. i was thinking of maybe giving them to my dad or my oldest brother.

I was at a store that rents the card boxes and they told me many stories where cards have been stolen out of them. I'm kinda thinking of making my own where we will have to actually cut it open to get the cards out. Haven't decided though. My sister's wallet was stolen on her wedding day by the workers who kept going in and out of the bridal suite.

You know, I thought my hall would put mine on the table with the place cards, but they put it on our table, which I thought was a liitle tacky. But then I realized that the place card table was sort of out of sight (especially since we had a screen up for a montage that ran all night) and that the people at the hall probably thought of that in advance. I was really surprised by the amount of cash we got so it was better there.Welcome New Vendors
