card holder

Am I crazy to think that I can find a pumpkin with slots in it for guests to put the cards. I like the birdcage idea, but I want a pumpkin! I have searched with no luck! You ladies are good at this - HELP!!! Or just tell me I'm nuts!

Maybe you can make a real one???

I am thinking that you can get a nice big pumpkin right before the wedding, gut it out all the way to the shell and line the inside with something, like contact paper or something.

That may be too ambitious but I am sure you can find some sort of roundish hollow object to decorate & turn into a pumpkin.

Good luck!

well i searched high and low and the only thing I could find is a site that would help you make one on your own (almost anyway). Here's the link. Maybe it will give you a little inspiration. But actually why not carving out a big pumpin and lining the inside with fabric? Or how about making a big fabric pumpkin. I am positive there are patterns for it?pumpking craft site

They should have plastic pumpkins or some sort of fake pumpkin somewhere that you could use

I know thre's a place in Lindenhurst...on Delaware Avenue I think where you can make plastercradt items. Maybe it's called Millie's Plastercraft? If you're interested FM me I could find out for you.

Anyway, they have the soft plaster items, you clean them and then they fire it and then you paint it. Maybe they could make you a pumpkin with a slot in the lid.

That way you could keep it and use it each year as a decoration!

I did this as well--my mom actually bought small plastic pumpkins and we are attaching leaves to them with everyones name and table # (since there's no insert). I'll take a pic some time soon and post it!
