Cardbox Idea (with pic)

FH and I really liked the Disney Pixar movie 'UP'. Yes, it makes me bawl like a little baby!! I'm considering doing a mailbox cardbox like the one Carl and Ellie have in that movie. I'm thinking it's cute, but could be taken as cheesy. I'm also wondering where we'll put it afterward? I found a white mailbox for like $7 online, so I'm considering buying it and just seeing how it looks. What do you think?

EDITED: I should have noted that it will say 'Michelle and Joseph' instead. For the safety of the cards, I may have it glued closed and cut a slit in the top.

It could be cute...but not everyone may understand where it's from, and if they don't then it may just be awkward.

I am doing this for our cardbox... except in lavender and a more elegant font...We have a vintage theme and I feel that this is an adorable touch.

I say go for it, its a small detail that will express your personality and wont take away from any of the elegance you already have :)

Also, we are leaving it as is and putting the grandparents and old releatives next to the card table since we know that they will not be getting up because they can barely walk as is..\

I think its really cute. Although i think a lot of poeple are not going to understand where it is from but then again does that really matter? If you guys love that movie and thinks its cute go for it!

I think it's a cure idea. If people don't understand where it's from, it doesn't matter. I personally would use silimar colors on the mailbox for the wedding to help it tie in.

OMG, I love everything about this! Amaaaazing.

As for the card box, I think it is adorable whether or not people 'get' the reference. I would have thought it was cute even if it weren't 'from' something! As for what to do with it after, I would just make the mailbox and then use it for my house I think after!

Totally agree with this. Even if people don't recognize that it's from Up, they will think its just an adorable mailbox.

That wedding is beautiful!!! I LOVE it! Even if the guests did not get the 'Up' theme, it still comes out as a gorgeous wedding!

people may not get where it is coming from but it would still be cute even if they don't get it

Even if people may not understand where its from they will probably still think its cute and interpret it their own way. I say go for it because it is about representing the two of you whether anyone else understands that or not.
