Cardbox question...

Cardbox question...

what are you willing to spend on it? Are you going to get a fancy one or it doesnt really matter? I know alot of people tie it into their theme but, what do you do with it afterwards?
My dad was a mailman so I wasnt going to go with my theme on my cardbox, I want to get a mailbox instead. I have only seen the kind for the house but not the kind that we put our mail into on the streets, which is what I perfer.
So do I try to find one like that which may cost lots of money or do the kind that we use in our homes that will cost me nect to nothing and call it a day?
I dont have a pic but it is just made out of cardboard and you put it together. Just very simple and I am going to add his picture on the little flag like thing.
TIA

If you wanna go supercheap you can buy a pretty hatbox from a craft store, carefully cut a slot out of the top, and then glue some pretty ribbon around the opening so you can hide the rough cutout edges! Also ebay is good for this kind of stuff, people sell their still brand new looking ones after their done with it!

A 3rd option when Michaels crafts runs their 40% off coupons use that to go buy the one they carry...its like $30 as long as their not running weddings stuff on sale you can use the coupons on any non-sale item in the store!

Re: Cardbox question...

I'm getting a fancy one...only because I want it to be very visible to guests as they walk in, so I figured I might as well make it go with my theme.
I went to a wedding and I don't even know if there was a cardbox or not, but people were scared to leave their envelopes on the tables...I want my guests to drop their envelopes and be able to mix, mingle, eat,and dance. I don't want to go around going from table to table collecting gifts either. The box I ordered looks like stacked gifts so I'm sure they'll get the message.

Im either going to buy one on ebay or ask one of the LIW girls to ask her mother to do it.

I want to make a haunted house type of cardbox. I figure I'll be able to use it every year for a Halloween decoration so I dont mind spending a little money on it. Don't want to go more than like $50 though being as it's not really that necessary.

Your girls and your Halloween weddings - I love it! I really can't wait to see your pictures - they are going to be awesome.

I am going to wait for Modern Bride on ebay to finish their move and then I am going to buy from them

My brother's fiancee just came over with the one she just bought at AC Moore for $20. It's really pretty too. I'll be using it as well so now I don't have to buy one.

You can find the street boxes with the flags at any Home Depot for no more than $20. I like that you are doing that for your dad.
