Caribbean islands or Europe
I know I have plenty of time but I have started to put some thought into our honeymoon & need some advice.neither fh or myself have traveled outside the us much. we went to Jamaica in Jan and just got back from a cruise to the Bahamas and 3 years ago I went on a cruise to Bermuda without him. other then that we have traveled inside the us! oh I went to Niagara falls but that was only Canada.
so now we have said this will prob be one of our last vacation out of the county.
so do we take this last opportunity and go tropical and relax, sandals in Antigua looked amazing!
or do We be tourist in like Ireland or Germany or Greece or Italy?
my concern is after all the stress of the Wedding do I want to walk around with a tour guide all day or lay on the beach and just relax?

FH and I debated over this a bit because we will start trying to have kids within a year of getting married so we won't be able to do much more traveling. We ended up booking Sandals Royal Bahamian because I didn't think we would be able to relax if we went to Europe. I think that's the kind of trip that you need a vacation when you come back because you're so tired from doing so much.It may be a while before you're able to take another big trip abroad, but Europe isn't going anywhere.

I think a Mediterranean cruise would be the best of both worlds. You still get to see a lot but you have to be back to the boat by a certain time so you can't get too worn out, and I'm sure they have days where you are just sailing. Thanks for the Bahamas review! We've never been and I can't wait!

We did St Lucia for just the reason you said... I could not imagine going touring around Europe when all I wanted to do was relax on the honeymoon. In my opinion a honeymoon should be for relaxing, resting up and enjoying each others company. Plenty of other opportunities to do Europe when doing touristy things and planning an involved trip will be more appealing. Also, the weather in Europe in March is not very nice so keep that in mind (unless you are not planning to honeymoon right after the wedding)

yea I totally agree I want to relax, that's why I said possibly the virtue so we could have down time.but idk that we can afford Europe after this so it's hard to decide. we have plenty of time so I'll have to do more research

Re: Caribbean islands or Europe
There are a few things to consider if you do a tour of Europe, how into museums, art gallerys, ruins, churches, and historical sites are you and your FH and do you think you will want to be on a bus with a ton of other people for hours on your honeymoon? Of course if you are planning on doing Europe on your own or a cruise then its not as much of a concern. The other factor is that you have to consider the exchange rate for everything that is not included, the exchange rate as of today is 1 EURO = 1.37 US Dollar. So if a sandwich is 10 EURO is will cost you 13.70 US Dollars and that adds up fast!
And as mentioned above March in Europe is cold and rainy. I would much rather go somewhere warm rather than the same weather I am having at home.
