We were flirting with having an engagement event for the LI families -- can you tell me more about the place, food, what you liked about it.....(FI owes it to me; we are having a city wedding in deference to him so this would be our LI contribution.)

I love Havanas for the after party... it's such a different feel than the ballroom, and a neat place to 'wind down' (or 'wind up' depending on which member of my particular family you're talking about... )

When you are there, ask Sheila to show it to you. They were just finishing it up when we were there..
Oh and DEB-- I thought gladiolas would look great in the room. The chandeliers are all gem colored-- so, any color flowers would work. Tall, simple, beautiful CPs.

they should have pics of it on the carltun web site..
It will be even more expensive there though- over $100 a head-- they serve dinner down there on the weekends, so if they close for a private party- they'll need to make up the costs with your party.
Also- in thinking about it- not sure they would be able to accommodate 100 for a sit down dinner.
Ask me anything- I am a freakin' carltun enclycopedia..

I just asked A LOT of questions when I was there-- and I am a huge researcher.. so, I mean, I don't know everything- but, as much as I could know at this stage of planning.

We're trying to get back to see Shelia in October and hopefully see some wedding set-ups before the bride arrives.. but she's not returning our phone calls!!! Grrrr.. but I'm not stressing over it.
Photo: We're between Jordan Matter, Kelly Guenther, Something in Blue and Robert DiScalfani. Haven't met with all of them yet. At the moment Jordan Matter is a huge front runner.
Video: at the moment it's between The Holder Brothers and Milk&Honey Productions .. but things change everyday!!!
I just feel so much pressure making this decision... I mean these people are documenting the day. I'm a little unecessarily insane over it!

I doubt it-- They can seat probably 100 people- not sure, when we looked at it- there were 4 ten tops in there. So, 100 may be pushing it- but- there is no room for dancing or anything. It is sit down only-- so, unless you are having a wedding of 20 and a band- it;s highly doubtful there will be another wedding. ALSO- it is a totally different entrance- the restaurant entrance.
Sheila will get back to you- we want to see some set ups too.. no clue when we'll get there. I don't know those people- but don't get to stressed.. This was an easy decision for me though- I just picked who my friends used- and whom my parents also used before..

Thanks for the encouragement on the photo/video issue. We haven't loved the people our friends have used, so we're starting from scratch really. But I know we'll make the right decision... eventually!!
We're trying to get in to see some setups in October simply to get ideas. We're doing a vineyard theme, but I am always looking for cool flower ideas etc... Aaaaah florists ... that's next up!
