Carlyle at the Palace - Anyone ever been?

Hi!!

So I looked at my first venue today - Carlyle at the Palace. It basically has everything I want INSIDE - no carpeting, no drapery, an open, clean space - GORGEOUS. I do NOT love the outside. I am not sure how important that really is to me yet, but I figured I'd check here to see if anyone's been to/had a wedding there.

I would love any and all thoughts you had if you've been there.

:) right?? The outside is sooo ugly though!! literally looks like a movie theater - def can't take pics there. I LOVE LOVE the inside though, and I LOVE the Carlyle name cause of their reputation :)

It's about 2 years old and they just started advertising on The Knot...

Carlyle at the Palace - Anyone ever been?

I've never been there, but the pictures are gorgeous. I think you shouldn't worry about the outside. Most of your pictures will be taken inside. Does this hall have grounds for pictures and do you plan to take pics on the grounds or are you going to another location for photographs?

Quoted was $125 for a Friday and $140 for a Sat in Oct 2013. Totally negotiable though I think!

There are no grounds to take pics. I'd go somewhere else after Church for pictures.

This was one of the places that I wanted to look at but never got around to it!!

I think the inside is amazing!! Also the woman I spoke to there said they have an on-site decorator...I think that it would be a huge plus!!

The food should be good too since its the same caterer for the Carlyle places!!
