carlyle on the green

Hi guys,
I'm new to this. I'll be getting married at Carlyle on the Green in Nov '04.
I just fell in love with this place the first time I saw it but I've never been to a wedding there.
Can anyone give me any reviews?
Thanks.

Yay, another Carlyle bride! Snowboardgirl and I are also having receptions there, and I think there's another woman - Bethpagebride - as well. Do a search on Sassyz75 and Valenia - both had their receptions (and ceremonies?) there and said great things about the Carlyle in their reviews!

Welcome and congrats!

Welcome chicagogal! You have chosen very wisely!

My wedding was at the Carlyle, and they are absolutely amazing -- food, service, surroundings all perfect!

Best of luck in your planning. If you have questions for me, you may want to send me a forum mail with a link to the thread, I haven't been checking as regularly as I used to on the board and might miss it.

I went to a wedding there last summer & it was amazing. The set up on the patio, the cozy cocktail hour & the receeption were all fabulous. The hall is tremendous but the wedding was small, yet the place still felt full (did that make sense?)

The decor is very elegant & subtle, so it is not difficult to match with a theme or color scheme.

Good Luck & Congrats

We got married there 1/31 of this year! It was the most AMAZING place. It was a fairy tale and worth every penny.

The food was so great- people are STILL talking about the mashed potato bar we had at the cocktail hour.. They are ALSO still talking about the staff- how helpful they were and you NEVER had to go looking for someone to take your drink order, etc.

The cake was SOOOO tasty- I was nervous that the cake would look pretty but taste like cardboard- DH cannot wait to get into the cake for our 1 year anniversary.

The Carlyle is like no other place on long island- it is understated yet very classy- again, it is worth every cent.

If you have any questions feel free to FM me!
