Ok so I am so obsessed with the Carlyle and cannot stop thinking about it from early today when I went to visit it. Their price per person was a little higher then we are looking to go but I was asking for a Fri night in June/July. I was thinking of calling to ask if they could do cheaper on a Fri night in Sept/Oct, or the Sunday before 4th of July 2011 (because 4th of July is on a Mon everyone should be off)....thoughts??

I don't know for sure, but judging from the estimates I've seen at other places, Weekend evening weddings won't be much cheaper in Sept and Oct than they are in the summer as those months are almost as popular as June now. They're still prime season. But like I said, I don't know for sure. I don't know about the holiday weekend though, that might save you some money

BTW, there's a 2011 Brides Reception Hall Quotes thread.... the only quote on there for Carlyle on the Green was for a Sat in Oct, and one bride was quoted 150pp with a 175 min. I know you said Friday, though.
try giving them a call...when I was looking last year, they were able to give me a quote over the phone and it was 150pp with a 150 person min for a friday in sept

I would check into a Thursday- i know alot of people hate that idea but from what i hear the prices are alot cheaper. Or a day wedding. Friday is def cheaper than a Sat night.

in my research, sept and oct are the same pricing as june and july. it is still prime season.

I got quoted the following:
September, October and November Sat am: $145pp/guarantee 150 Sat pm: $200pp/guarantee 200 Friday: $170pp/guarantee 150 Sunday: $150pp/guarantee 150
Plus they also charge for valets @$135 per valet, and they recommended 6 valets for Sat am, Fri, and Sun... and 8 valets for Sat pm.
22% service charge also

I'm a Carlyle bride and I would definitely call them and try to negotiate!!
They charge Sat. night prices for Sunday of holiday weekends, but most places do that. I'm getting married Columbus Day Sunday and every place we looked at was still charging us Sat. night prices, but we were able to negotiate a little with Carlyle and did get a cheaper price per person.

I too am a Carlyle Bride (just us 2) on a Friday night this Sept. From what I hear from many people Friday is 150 p/person with a 150 min.
