Has anyone tried on Casablanca dresses? I've seen them in magazines ...and thought they were very pretty. I then looked online and saw they were very affordable. Does anyone know what the quality is like? I don't want to get my hopes up because I love the style...and then touch the dress and find that it is made poorly. Thanks~

Re: casablanca
My dress is Casablanca, from Fall 2006 1827..their line is very affordable and the dresses are well made. Go to Carmelas Bridal Garden in Huntington, she is the dressmaker and does everything there, where as in Lilettes they told me they would be sending the dress back and forth to the company for any alterations or additions (for example, I am having cap sleeves put on the dress..) GOOD LUCK!

I just really love this Jim Hjelm gown...but its 2700. I have it in my budget...but still hate to spend that much on a dress I will wear once. I feel like the dress posted above is the same style...but will be a material of less quality. Something ppl wont even notice.
great minds must think alike! I love that Jim Hjelm dress and FH was willing to buy it for me but I found that Casablanca dress too last night and am SERIOUSLY considering it as an alternative. I love them both now....they both have gorgeous dresses but Casablancas are much more reasonable...I can put that money to such good use elsewhere

They definitely did all of my alterations right at Lillette's, didn't send it back and forth.

Re: casablanca
My dress is Casablanca, as well. The quality is excellant and the dress is stunning. There is a lot of beading on the top of my dress. When I saw it I thought for sure it was at least $3K....it was under $1K. Definitely check them out! Good luck!

I have tried the JH on!...and it is as if not more gorgeous in person as it is in the pictures. I didn't even go there to try that one on but i saw it and was drawn to it! they quoted me (i think) $2,500 and I was seriously considering it. I found the Casablanca one in Brides mag. in a small ad and thought how similar it was so I looked it up about 2 days ago. It's very reminisent of the JH. I'm glad you posted this so I can find some suggestions on where to try it on. They have some other Casablancas that I like alot also so I'm going to try those too
