Let's discuss. What are you registering for, and why?
I am so torn and don't feel comfy asking for both sets. Right now, I have Corelle which is nice, but I want to replace it. I bought it right after college at Walmart, and have 4 settings. Time to move on!
Any input is appreciated!!

Re: Casual China vs Everyday China
I really wanted to register for both, but FH and I already have a set of correlle and he is in love with it and doesn't want to get rid of it, so we registered just for fine china. I hope I will use it! FH really wants me to do holidays so I am hoping once we get a house and get settled I will be able to use it!
Love this set! I am torn between this and their square white dinnerware for my everyday dishes. I have totally fallen for Crate and Barrel
Thanks!!! I just LOVE everything there!!!!

I love Corelle .. but refused to get it because I know FH and his ex used to have the same exact set I wanted LOL
So we got this cool black square set when we moved 2 months ago and threw out my old everyday set.
I plan on registering for a new white everyday set, probably from Crate and Barrel. I know the real china would be a waste for us :(
LOL! i <3 u.

Re: Casual China vs Everyday China
FH and I are back and forth about this. We would probably end up hosting the family during the holidays once we buy the house.
I have every day settings, but it wouldn't be enough for 18 of us.
We are looking at durability and they need to be dishwasher & microwave safe. FH thinks it's silly to have a dishwasher if we wouldn't be able to put these pieces in it.
So those are our choices. I LOVE the Love story from Mikasa, but they aren't dishwasher safe. I just found a set from Corelle that is going to be safe for the dishwasher/microwave and for the oven (up to a certain temperature) oh and they look pretty.
That was the other thing. I picked out something white and simple and FH said it was too plain. I said we could 'dress' it up with table cloths/napkins and things and he didn't like the idea.
Now we are not very fancy kind of people (though we clean up pretty nicely LOL) but we would just like to find something that is going to be reasonably priced and durable.
What's the point of having china if it's only taken out on special occasions?

I won't be registering for fine china. I would just be paranoid someone would break something at dinner, lol!
I would much rather receive gifts I will use all the time
BTW - I just bought china place settings from the BP for my sisters wedding ($140 a place setting )

Re: Casual China vs Everyday China
I'm registering for Fine China and then every day dishes. My mother is buying all of my place settings for my fine china, so I just registered for serving pieces. I really didn't want to register for it but my mom insisted. As for every day dishes, I def. need them.

I registered for both fine and everyday china
Christmas eve dinner was passed on to me so I knew before registering I needed fine china.
My everyday dishes happen to be Lenox china. It was the only set FH and I agreed on
