Cat owners anyone experience this?! UPDATE!
My poor kitty. He is 12 years old and in very good health, just a bit chunky... anyway he was getting into the bed the other day and misjudged it and fell ... he is a klutz and always has been- since he was a baby he falls over his own 2 feet, he is not very graceful, anyway, he was limping since last night- not too bad but I did notice it. He did jump into my bed before , but the poor thing, should I be worried or just let him rest it out for a few days? I feel so bad... I know he did not break anything and usually cats take care of themselves ... he is an indoor kitty. ( never been out) He is not crying in pain or anything extreme. It is his back paw area where he is slighly limping , just a little bit.
UPDATE!
Called my vets office and they told me cats are naturally klutzy... and if he is putting weight on it to just keep an eye on it, the limping has gotten better, he has been resting all day , they also told me when I go out to close the bedroom door so he does not try to jump up while he is healing. he is not in any pain. They also told me to give it a few days to a week, and if they have to they will give him a cortisone shot to help him. I will keep you all posted. Thanks for all of the responses and concern. My cats is really haming it up , he knows I am concerned, they are so smart, so when he sees me look he starts to limp a little bit.... when he thinks i am not looking he seems to be better.
