Cat Peeps - Need some info/advice!!! ***UPDATED WITH CAT PICS****

we leave dry food out all day and the cats eat it as they please. and we feed them wet food twice a day... but it's the small cans and they get half each... so they eat 1 small can each per day; but they don't finish it.

Cats tend to be up at night.. rambunctious too. My cats actually sleep with us... so they come into bed when we go to bed. they get up and come back throughout the night.

Congrats on the cats!! I have one cat that I rescued as well, he is 3 now. I feed him twice a day, only dry food though. For some reason, he never took a liking to wet food. I fill his bowl half way in the morning and usually at night when I get home from work, I feed him again because its empty. I basically don't feed him unless he has no food left because alot of the time, he eats a little and comes back every now and then for some more. He never really sits there and clears his bowl.

As far as the night time, he is up a lot of times at night, being annoying, throwing stuff off our dresser but we just started closing him out of our bedroom at night and he hangs out in the living room. Sometimes he will cry by the door and when he does that, he usually just wants to lay with us! Good luck!

i have 3 so i split a can of wet between them in the morning, leave a bowl of dry food out during the day, and split another can at night for them.

each one has their own problem/is fussy so i have to do it this way.

1 is very fat, 1 is muscular and 1 is super skinny so I don't know which food is making them that way. i've heard more recently it's the dry food that makes them fat.

We keep their dry food bowls full throughout the day, which generally involves us filling them up twice. We give them wet food once at night.

Wet food is important, particularly for male cats, to help prevent serious kidney problems. However, they don't need to be fed it three times a day.

I've actually read that dry food, in general, is actually better. But I'm sure there is some debate on that.

My cats, when they sleep with us, usually sleep from maybe 930/10-11...they're up from around 11-1230...have their wet food in there...and then they sleep from 1230/1 until 5 and then they wake up again. I'm a heavy sleeper, so they don't bother me...but they do bother FH so we try and keep at least some of them out at night.
