Cat training. AHA!

We have two cats. One of them seems to like to make himself comfy in the recliner whenever we are out of the room. I've found the solution. I put a brand new clear car matt with the rubber pointy grips on the bottom. I put it upside down on the chair when we aren't sitting in it and it seems to be working. They are both sleeping nicely in their cat bed.

My FH hates when the cat sleeps in our bed (which she has been doing forever). He bought a little thing off of SkyMall that makes this weird noise whenever it detects movement. Well--It worked for a few days, but then I came home one day to find her sleeping right next to it. She got used to the noise.

I told him to just close the bedroom door if he doesn't want her on the bed. Now he thinks if he moves the device to the couch, It will keep her off of that---Hasn't worked!!
