caterers in Suffolk

Can anyone suggest caterers that I can bring food out from in Suffolk county? I am still considering the backyard wedding in Smithtown, and need a good, trustworthy caterer that will also provide services beside the food , like wait staff. Thanks!

Irish Coffee Pub does that. And I know that many of the resturants do the same. There was another post about backyard weddings not too long ago. You might want to check it out. It is a very hard job planning a backyard wedding and can actually end up costing you more money than a hall. You have to worry about parking, bathrooms, tent rentals, etc... I am not trying to be negative. My best friend had a backyard wedding that was beautiful. But it was a lot of work too.

Elegant Eating in Stony Brook and Gene's Kitchen on Echo Avenue, Sound Beach, NY 631-821-0256. Elegant eating catered my shower and a friends shower. Yummy food -- but not sure if they provide serving staff. Gene's Kitchen did my engagement party and they provided serving staff. But the owner was a friend of a friend -- think they provide that service though.

Hi Stef, The backyard idea is still not set in stone, we are comparing it to paying on the average $50-$75/head somewhere else. But, I will probably only have 50-60 guests, and am not going crazy w/ flowers, and details. I really just want it simple (good food, people, and music). If anyone else is interested, or if anyone can tell me what they think of this: I found a place called Dream Street Caterers, and their website shows so many options for catering. They provide everything (linens, china etc.), and offer choices in menus, and price ranges (from $15-$150/head). I hope it works out.
