I recently went to a wedding at the Crest Hollow (where, I am also having my wedding) and, though I still loved the place, one thing really irked me. They served the beer not out of bottles but instead poured beer from a 40 oz into a glass. According to the bartender you can get bottles, but you have to request it. I couldn't believe it. I tried calling my banquet manager, but haven't heard back from him. Is this normal? I wouldn't think so.

Re: catering hall
I think it is normal for the bartender to pour the beer into a glass. We are having that done at our wedding.

Re: catering hall
I think you misunderstood. She doesn't object to beer in a glass - I think the objection was that it was poured from a 40oz bottle, rather than a regular bottle or a tap. I agree thats kind of strange. Especially with the negative perception of '40's'
