Hi, I am new to the boards. I was wondering if anyone could give any recommendations on the following halls:
Jericho Terrace Fox Hollow Woodberry Country Club
I am probably having the ceremony at the hall-- in the fall 2009 or Winter 2010. I really want to find a place with a beautiful indoor ceremony location.
i have been to all and they are all gorgeous...not sure if money is any concern but being a february bride myself...i will tell you that your PP charge will go way down if you hold off and do it in the winter... seriously...you cant believe the price difference....its way worth it!

Re: Catering halls
I second the above opinion! I am in a wedding at Fox hollow in March and its a difference in price (Jan-March) The Winter Pavillion room is very nice!
Jericho Terrace is another very pretty place!!!!!!
I have never been to Woodbury CC... But I hear great things.. really depends on what you are looking for

My sister had her reception at Jericho Terrace. It was a great wedding. Food and service was amazing. I dont know about the inside ceremony locations though. She was married at a church.

Re: Catering halls
i visited all 3, as you can see i booked w/ fox hollow. You get so much for your money and its a beautiful hall. Woodbury CC i didn't really see the grounds because when i stopped by there, they were not booking for 2010.

Re: Catering halls
Thanks everyone! I am really pretty clueless right now, I am one of the first of my friends to get married. I've never been to any of the places but they all look like they have really big windows, which for some reason I really like. There are so many places on Long island its overwhelming!

Thanks so much for the help!
It really depends on your style. I obviously LOVED the Fox Hollow's Winter Garden Pavilion. I'm having approx 140 guests, that room works well as our main room.
I didn't check out the other halls you named because I wasn't looking to spend over $90 pp (our wedding is in September) and Jericho Terrace quoted above that over the phone. The FH gave us a great deal, I would expect that if you book any fall date remaining in 2009 you will also. I also really loved the Venetian Yacht Club (Fox offered a better price for same quality) and Westbury Manor (wasn't available until 2010) All the best, keep us posted!

Re: Catering halls
I've been to all three and Jericho Terrace was terribe (sorry all JT brides).
My friends ceremony called for 5 pm and we got there at 5 and she was standing outside the door ready to walk down the aisle so we had to walk in right before her.
During the whole ceremony you heard the bass from the party next door booming in the room.
After she left the ceremony she had to wait for the last bride to leave a photo area so she could be placed into the same position. I didn't like two brides being right next to each other or the fact of waiting on line to take your pic.
I priced both Fox Hollow and Woodbury CC and Fox hollow will give you a little more for the money but Woodbury CC has a nice outdoor cocktail hour depending on time of year. I personally think FH and WCC are a bit more classier they are also not located right on a main road like JT, they are set back a bit and have nice grounds.....JMO
Woodbury Country Club!!!! I got married there last November and everything was phenomenal. The service is impeccable, the food is delicious (and there's a TON of it) and the grounds are stunning.
We actually seriously considered FH, but we didn't like the room they offered us, and the banquet manager we met with was awful.
If you have any questions feel free to fm me.

Re: Catering halls
i have only been to fox hollow and i thought it was ok, nothing outrageous but nothing horrible either. i hear you get a lot for your money.
My Fh has been to jericho terrace...about 5-7 years ago and STILL talks about how much he loved it there.
if you are deciding between fall and winter...go for winter. you get unbelievable deals not only on teh hall but with other vendors as well. they all take money off and throw things in since its not busy season

Re: Catering halls
Thanks again!! Do you girls think that it is realistic that we can book in November 2009?? I really don't want a super long engagement... but it looks like its hard to get married on Long Island in a year. What are your opinions?

Re: Catering halls
i am getting married next month at fox hollow. i am having my ceremony in their petite garden room, and i think it is beautiful. the ceiling is high and all glass. plus, fox hollow includes amazing floral arrangements in their ceremony fee. here's a pic from another bride's wedding.
You are right! That looks stunning!! I love the high ceiling!!

Great choices! I've been to all three and you can't go wrong with any of them! If I had to choose, I'd go with either WCC or JT.

Re: Catering halls
all i know about it JT and my cousin got married there and it was amazing!! the CH had sooo much food, the Vhour had a whole different room with candles lit all over, cotton candy, ice cream, cakes, anything you can think of. the rooms have a 'garden' outdoors' type of theme/vibe to them. ive heard they have reasonable packages depending on date/time/year etc.
fox hollow looks very pretty in the pics, and so does wcc but ivenever been to both so i cant comment
