Re: Cathedral Veils
I think you should definitely check ebay... there are many embroidered veils for sale and they are NOT that expensive. Don't give up on what you want without doing a little hunting first. You might end up finding a cathedral veil at a finger tip veil price...good luck.

i think it depends on what your train looks like. if your train is plain, definitely go with the cathedral veil... if you have beading, etc. on your train, go with a shorter veil so it showcases the train

Re: Cathedral Veils
yea my train is embroidered and has a lot of beadwork on the end of the train. I just got off the phone with Bridal styles...and Edward said the Veil will be 760 bucks. That is A LOT of money no?
I should do more research...I dont know what to do though!

Re: Cathedral Veils
Ok I haven't purchased my dress yet -- but I have it down to two and both have cathedral detailed trains.
I tried on cathedral veils with them and it hid all the detail so I am most likely going with finger tip.
Also if you get cathedral you won't be able to wear it all night so $760 that you will wear for the ceremony and some pics.

Re: Cathedral Veils
You shold definitely try on a cathedral and fingertip veil to see which will go better, even if you go with a $100 veil, you should make sure it goes first

Re: Cathedral Veils
It really depends on the dress. My dress is cathedral length too with a detachable train. They lady at the bridal store kept trying to sell me on a cathedral length veil but personally i dont like them on me (plus at my friend hope's wedding, she had one on and someone stepped on it... not pretty!) Only spend the $$ if you really really want it! I ended up with a two tier finger tip veil with rhinestones around both edges of the tiers.

Re: Cathedral Veils
thank you girls for your help with this.
I am just clueless as to where to go. I went to Bridal Styles and Barrons. I guess I will have to keep looking.
I am going to go to Macys this week...any ideas on their veils?

Re: Cathedral Veils
If your train is detailed i'd just go with the fingertip veil. I had the same issue, and I decided that the cathedral veil took away from my train and I went with the fingertip veil.
