How many layers do you usualy have. I've seen anywhere from 2-4 layers. I want a blusher and I also want to detatch it to have a shorter veil at the reception. Does anyone know?

I have a two tier detachable veil. I ordered mine on ebay. One is a blusher and the other tier is a 118 inch cathedral veil.

Do you then wear the blusher as your veil at the reception? Who was the seller? TIA

I am planning to, but since my wedding is in the summer I might not. I like to have the option The seller was another bride who bought a different veil and needed to get rid of hers. There are plenty of sellers on ebay. Good luck

Re: Cathedral Veils
I had a cathedral length veil attached to a finger tip. the Fingertip had a blusher. Atfter the Mass, I removed the cathedral length piece, but wore the finger tip/blusher part of the veil ALL day. . pics are in my album and review.

Re: Cathedral Veils
My friend attempted to bustle her long veil using those hairclips that look like snaps. she had a very long cathedral veil and the weigh was causing the snaps to come undone all night. But it looked really pretty in the beginning.
What she wound up doing about 2 hours into the reception was saftey pin the end of her vail to the back of her dress. It didn't look terrible, but in some shots candid wedding shots is looks kind of silly.

Re: Cathedral Veils
I had a circle veil and a cathedral
The circle veil doubled as my blusher and it stayed on all night-the clip was placed in the middle of the tulle.
And then the cathedral so it was 3

Re: Cathedral Veils
i had a cathedral and then my blusher or what i used as my blusher for the ceremony, it was about elbow length.
The cathedral veil drove me INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! during pictures it was flying in every other direction but i kept it on for the pics. I kept stepping on it and it was the most annoying thing...once we were done with pics and got on the bus i took off the cathedral veil and just left the other one on

Re: Cathedral Veils
im getting a cathedral with a detachable blusher from barrons in tri county
i wanted a blusher for the ceremony but dont particularly like the way veils look with several layers so after the ceremony i will detach the blusher and just have the cathedral for pics...i will take that one off also after pics and not wear a veil during the reception

Re: Cathedral Veils
Im not sure how many layers my cathedral veil is. But, Im also having a blusher which I will wear at the reception. (My gown and veil are from kleinfelds). They suggested the best way to do that is to put the blusher in your hair (its attached to a comb) and then she is going to velcro the cathedral veil to the blusher.
That way, you wont have to remove the comb from your hair. She said she does this most often.
(Another thing you can do is bustle the cathedral veil) I personally dont love the look.

Re: Cathedral Veils
mine had the cathedral & blusher(two pieces.). i detached the cathedral after the ceremony & had the blusher on for most of the reception..
I am wearing three. My blusher will be detachable from the cathedral and then I will have another finger tip veil for underneath my hair-do for the reception. It's hard to show without a picture but I think you know the deal!

Re: Cathedral Veils
I only have a cathedral... i am hoping to bustle it (I wasn't even sure if this was an option, and reading some other responses- I need to really look into it)
but I'm borrowing my friend's blusher, just in case I change my mind and want one, or want something at the reception.
