Catholic Brides

How are you having your attendant's walk down the aisle? Bridesmaids escorted by the groomsmen on the way in and the way out? Or will the groomsmen be at the altar and then only walk out with the bridesmaids??

i know, i like when they do both also....I feel like the groomsmen look funny when they're standing up their alone, but I know that's not the tradition.

Having the BM's walk with the Groomsman up and down the aisle only. I think it looks so much nicer

LOL, I still don't know what we're doing. Originally I figured the GM will all be at the altar with FH and that the BM's will walk in alone... at the end, they'll walk out in pairs.

But might switch it up b/c I would love for my FH to walk in with both his parents up the aisle.

GMs escort BMs (and BM escore MOH) on the way out.

I think we'll do BMs walking down alone with GMs at the alter. Most weddings I've been to do it the other way, but I kind of like it. My DOC explained it's symbolic that on the way down the alter we're all
'single' but on the way back up we're 'married.'

My cousin just got married 2 weeks ago and it is the first wedding I've been to and noticed that the girls all walked down alone. To be honest with you I like it better when the groomsmen and bridesmaids escort each other down the aisle both ways. I think it looks much nicer and I feel in my opinion that when the girls walk down alone, your maid of honor is not being noticed. I know I want my best friend (MOH) to stand out from the other bridesmaids.

I also was not crazy about seeing all the groomsmen walk in together with the groom and just hanging out at the alter. It just wasn't my style.

No offense to anyone who plans on doing this.

Therefore, the BM will be the only one at the altar with the groom and the other bm's and groomsmen will be walking down together and my MOH will be walking alone until the end of the mass when she will walk down the aisle with the BM.

The groom with be at the altar with the GM and the BM will walk down alone... at the end, the GM will escort them out.

As far as I know the BM's come in a lone and the GM walk them out.

right now we are leaning twds having the BM come in alone and then be escorted out. The main reason we're doing this is b/c FH is having one of his best friends (who is a girl) stand up with him on his side. So we all come off the aisle, one of the guys on FH's side will have a BM on one arm and the girl GM on the other. I think it will look slightly less weird that way.

but i don't think there's a right or wrong way to do it.
