Catholic Brides ?

My FH has only been baptized, is it possible for us to get married in a catholic church?

I believe so but not a high mass. I think you will haveto be married before the altar. Call & ask. Also, they offer courses to make all of your sacraments. In case you were not aware. Good Luck

It depends on your church!! Some churchs are more strict than others.....I would call them and find out!

I agree. My fh made all of his sacriments but in another church and they need proof of everything but then I've heard of different churches who just believe that you've made them or dont care. Definitely ask.

It's possible and depends solely on the church.

You have to talk to your church. Each church has its own rules. FH is baptized and not confirmed and we can get married in my church and have a full mass

We just met with my church the other day. I am raised Catholic, FH has only been baptized. My church did not require that he get his sacraments, but he wants to... he starts classes in the Fall and will be confirmed by Easter.

We did have to sign a paper stating we would raise our children Catholic.

It depends on your church. I have not received confirmation and they allowed it but I will before I get married...

My FH didn't make his confirmation, and the lady in charge of religious classes said that you only need to be baptised to get married in a catholic church.

Some churches will require proof of only baptism, some require proof of confirmation. Also, even if the latter is true, you can be his sponsor and he can be confirmed before your wedding (my SIL had to do this). But the girls are right, it will depend on your church. It's odd, because the canons say they must be confirmed, but some churches don't do that!

My FH is Orthodox, and their baptism and confirmation are at the same time, so he qualified, but our church needed to know we were both confirmed. I had to bring baptismal certificates, which record the sacraments, from our churches.
