Catholic Brides getting married in a Church

I sometimes hear people talking about FOCCUS but i have no idea what this is.
Can someone let me know?

I was engaged once before and did pre-cana and have to do it again this time around - but what is this FOCCUS?

Thanks!

It is a 150 (or so) question test you and FH take seperately. It has the same questions about finances, sex, family, and all topics that have to do with marriage.

When you are done you sit down with people from your church and discuss all your differing answers.

Good Luck!

I'm not sure exactly what this is, but FH and I did have to do a quiz, but it wasn't 150 questions.

more or less, its a 'quiz' that helps open the lines of communication and makes sure you and your FH talk about important subjects.

it asks things about religion, finances, children, etc. its multiple choice. there is NO right or wrong answer, and its NOT a compatibility test.

they hand you a booklet and a scan tron and its agree, disagree and n/a and you want your, fhs and the churchs answer to match to get a point in that category.

FH and I scored very highly because we've talked about everything in the past, the things we scored low on we had discussed but did not agree on.

after a few weeks you make an appt with your pastor and go over the results... some couples can sit there for hours talking about their results, others can be there for minutes... we walked in he said 'do you know where you did low?' and we said 'yes.. finances' and he asked how we knew and we told him... we both worry about finances.

I personally enjoyed it..

we did ours almost a year ago. not all catholic churches require it.

there are different sections, like section one is everyone, section two is couples living together, section three is couples with children, etc etc. and you fill out each section that is appropriate to you.

the guy sitting next to me was STRESSING out, like FH was scared the guy was gonna start swinging once people started finishing and leaving. we were the second, but had to go to the desk to get our things... meanwhile, like I said, there is no right or wrong answer.

We already completed our pre-cana and we did not have to take this test. If you haven't heard of it, your church might not require it.
