How much are you paying for the ceremony total? Including music, if you can.
If you could give me even an estimate that would be helpful, since I'm clueless about what to budget for this. I'm a member at my church (if that makes a difference), but I haven't talked to them about it yet.

I'm not having a full mass, just a ceremony. But my church 'donation' is $500. This includes pre-cana, altar servers, and organist.

I'm having a full mass....my 'donation' is $850 i think....that includes everything for the musicians too. Pre-Cana costs $85 and FOCCUS was $75

Why do I still not know what FOCCUS is??! We met with the priest, he just told us about PreCana and then coming in after Pre Cana to talk with him... and he's going to ask up a ton of questions and have a conversation with us. He never mentioned this FOCCUS thing though?

We're just doing a ceremony and our payment (I refuse to call it a donation because that's just a joke) is $800 not including precana and we don't need to do foccus.

I think it's more of a LI thing and if your church is in Queens you won't need it. Mine is in Ozone Park and they told me we didn't.

Yeah that's exactly what it is - when I asked the woman in the rectory about it her first response was 'oh you must be in the diocese of Rockville Center'

Not necessarily. My church is in Valley Stream and we didn't need FOCCUS. I think it all depends on the church.

So...total is $725 and then tips for alter servers.

We are paying $160 for the organist/singer and then $500 to the Church.
The $500 included any $$$ for Pre Cana.
And we are having a full mass.

With music it is $850 but I am not a member of the church so I think it is $750 for members. It also does not includ PreCana or Focus

We're having a full mass. The total cost (with organist) is $500. Pre-cana is an additional $75.

$500 for the ceremony, this includes a $200 retainer for the church organist whether or not we use them. Additional $200 for Pre-cana.

i don't know.
when we went to book the date, i forgot to ask. so i figured i would receive something in the mail. i waited 2 months & never received anything. called the rectory & they told me i will receive all my paperwork in January.
i am a little annoyed because i need to budget for it but at the same time not annoyed because just finding a church that would marry us (FH isn't confirmed) was a task & a half.
