Catholic brides. .. is this true?!?

I read this on another site and was wondering if it was true. If it is I might do it as we are not getting married at church, so this would make my mom's day.

Catholic Marriage Blessing
Did you know that if you are Catholic, you can have your marriage blessed by the Pope himself?
You need simply send one of your wedding invitations to the Vatican for a blessing, along with a donation.
You will then be sent a papal blessing which can be framed and treasured for a life time for it's deep and special meaning.
Ask your priest to provide you with information on precisely where and whom to address the invitation.

Yes it is true. My priest was doing this for us as a gift He went to Rome in May and tried to do it then, but they wouldnt accept it bc it was too early, so they told him that he can fax it.

Yes you can send an invitation to the pope and even to the president and you'll get some reply. Other girls on here have done it.

I just googled 'Papal Wedding Blessing' and the second site is a document outlining the application in detail . . . . couldn't copy the link for some reason, but check that out.

I was told that you just send an invite to Oprah and she will send you a congratulations pic/note kinda thing. I am not exactly sure where you would send it though, probably harpo studios no?
