Is anyone doing the presentation to Mary? i talked to the Deacon on Friday and he suggested this instead of a unity candle. I was just curious if anyone else is doing it? i've never seen it done, and I would like to do something different than all my cousins.

Re: Catholic ceremony question
we are doing both...We are doing the candle and bringing flowers over to the blessed mother. Also the priest suggested at the time of peace. Having two single roses and giving them each to our mothers...LOVE THAT IDEA!!!

I'm going to do the giving a bouquet to Mary by myself... fh isn't religious and I dont want him fake praying there.

Re: Catholic ceremony question
We aren't but my FH isn't a practicing Catholic so we're not doing anything too religious. We are doing a unity candle.

We are doing this as well as a unity candle. It is a nice touch.

Re: Catholic ceremony question
Thanks girls. My fh isn't Catholic, but he is Christian, Greek Orthodox, so the deacon thought this would be good since both religions obviously place significance on Mary.

Re: Catholic ceremony question
I've seen this done at two different weddings I've been at in the past few years.. I think it's just something they offer that you can do
