You can find everything you need in the pre-cana book - did you get that yet?

Here were mine
OT --- The Creation of Man and Woman, Genesis 1:26-28, 31a
NT --- Live in Love and Thanksgiving, Colossians 3:12-17
Gospel --Two Become One Body, Mark 10:6-9

Re: Catholic Ceremony - READINGS

Yes but I want to see what others are doing. We are actually thinking of changing some of the wording or taking different chapters within a reading ... Our priest said we can do whatever we wanted that we liked.

Re: Catholic Ceremony - READINGS

I don't remember what readings we chose. Considering we wanted ones that weren't (a) too sexist, (b) too religious, or (c) too long, we didn't have many to choose from. Our priest was not as cool as yours and said we could not substitute readings or wording.

Re: Catholic Ceremony - READINGS

Here is the reading I read at my sister's wedding. It was beautiful! I watched her DVD and wrote down the words for you Hope it helps!

For all married people
For those who married yesterday
For the new couple (names) who married today
For those who marrry tomorrow
May they savor the joy of being together
Warm love and children
A long life, wine and friends
And a new day everyday
We pray to the lord

For all young single people who look forward to a vocation full of life and love
For the lonely old and the lonely young
For the hungry rich and the hungry poor
For the sick in body, mind & spirit
For the weakness in all of us
We pray to the lord

For our relatives and friends who walk with us on lifes journies
And for those who have gone before us onto the other side of life
For all the fulfillment of all our unfullfilled desires
We pray to the lord
