Catholic Ceremony.. Readings and music..

Hey girls.. we are meeting with the priest this Friday.. and i'm trying to decide on readings and music.
for girls who had a catholic ceremony..( we r not having a full mass )
what readings did you use?
and what music?

We also just had a ceremony and not a mass. I chose readings from the book they gave us at pre-cana. I just read each selection and picked the ones that 'spoke' to me or conveyed a message that I liked. I also wrote our 'Prayer of the Faithful' so it was more personal. We also wrote our own vows, again to make the ceremony more personal.

As for music, we met with the organist and he suggested music based on our readings. He was very accommodating and played whatever I preferred i.e.: 'Here Comes the Bride, the Wedding March, etc.'

Our readings were from The Song of Songs for the old testament and Pauls Letter to the Corinthians for the NEw Testament. The songs were:
Bridal party entrance - 'Chasing Cars' by Snow Patrol

Brides Entrance - 'Canon in D' by Pachebel

'There is Love' - during the candle lighting ceremony.

New Testament Reading Corinthians 12:31-13:8a

My string quartet played:

while guests were waiting: Air On the G String & many others...
wedding party processional: Canon In D
bridal processional: Bridal Chorus (the traditional Here Comes The Bride)
candlelight: Sheep may safely graze
recessional: Bridal March (the traditional recessional)
