Catholic Ceremony - Songs

Ladies - Post the songs played at you ceremony. I need to know how many songs are needed and where they are played (during which parts of the ceremony)

Thanks,
Lisa

Re: Catholic Ceremony - Songs

This is the list our church organist prepared for us. Obviously if you are having a ceremony, you won't need songs for presentation of the gifts or communion.

Order of Liturgy:
Gathering Music - Organ Music of the 18th , 19th , and 20th centuries

Processional - Canon in D (Johann Pachelbel)

Responsorial Psalm - I Have Loved You (Michael Joncas)
Paraphrased from Psalm 24:
I have loved you with an everlasting love,
I have called you and you are mine.

Gospel Acclamation - Celtic Alleluia (Fintan O’Carroll)

Presentation of Gifts - Ave Maria (Franz Schubert)

Communion Song - You Are Mine (David Haas)

Recessionals - Trumpet Voluntary (Jeremiah Clarke); Hornpipe from “Water Music” (G. F. Handel); Trumpet Voluntary (John Stanley)
