My mom is giving me hellll since me and FH changed it and decided not to do the full mass. I feel like doing something wrong....I wish I would have kept my mouth shut!

She's making me feel like I'm gonna burn in hellll. lol. We changed it for that exact reason. If we did the full mass there would be no way to go to Brooklyn for pics/video.

my parents didnt have a full mass yet they tried to give me guilt about not having one

my defense was, if i would have picked the cheaper day to have teh reception (sunday), i wouldnt have been able to do a full mass, so im not jeopardizing my timeline for somethign i dont really care about one way or the other

Hope your mom changes her opinion since it is what you and FH want. I am doing a full mass but it's what we want.

Not doing a mass either we are getting married at 430 on a friday. Many people are coming to the ceremony straight from work and ch is at 730 so we wanted to give people plenty of time to get ready and feel like they were running around

Not doing a full mass here either, didnt really fit in the timeline and FH family is not catholic so didnt want them to have feel uncomfortable...

I'm not doing a full mass, luckily my family doesn't mind. I just honestly cannot subject my friends and family to sit there for that long and be bored lol. I went to a wedding mass last year and it was an hour and a half long Too long!

i really didn't want a full mas but DH did.
IMO, the day of, my actual wedding day, even though it wa smy wedding reception, i was actually thinking that this ish is way too long.
it really was and it would have been so much better to do just a simple ceremony.
go for it, don't let her make you feel bad!

We are't doing a full mass--even though my parents are pretty religious, they were 100% ok with what we wanted. My older brother didn't get married in a church, so I know they are hapoy that I am.

I know that FH's parents and grandparents weren't thrilled with the decision, but I was adamant about not having a full mass. Even the ceremony is too long in my mind

If my DH weren't Jewish I definitely would have done a full mass. It's very important. The priest who officiated our wedding does not allow a ceremony if both partners are Catholic.
