does anyone know if you're just doing a ceremony if you can do the unity candle thing?
was gonna purchase one yesterday but we're only doing a ceremony and didn't want to waste money if we're not even gonna use it.
TIA!

Re: catholic girls not having full mass
My church allowed it even though we were having a ceremony only. We didn't do one though so I don't know when it would've taken place.

Re: catholic girls not having full mass
We are only having a ceremony. Our parents will light the tapers before the first reading. Then we will light the unity candle after we exchange rings.

Re: catholic girls not having full mass
FH's cousin had a ceremony and she did a unity candle, so I'm assuming yes, but I don't know if it's one of those things that varies by church/priest? I'd check with your church first before buying one. But I did plan on doing just this.
