Re: cayman islands anyone?
I've stopped there before on a cruise. The best thing is they do this boat ride out and you swim with STINGRAYS!!! There are hundreds of them out there. It was one of the coolest things I ever did. Beautiful water- crystal clear - and you get to hold the sting rays. They do this cool thing where the stingrays sunction on your back and it feels like a massage. The boat ride out was sooo nice and relaxing too. Bob Marley in the background and Coronas.
I'm sure it's nice to stay there, but I think I would island hop. You could go to Jamaica which is close and also sooo fun!!!

I only visited for 1 day on a cruise last year-i thought the island was beautiful; had fun swimming with the sting rays.
From my research prior to our visit i know the Ritz Carlton is very nice (very pricey) and the Royal Palms. I'm not sure of any other resorts but these were both right on the beach in Grand Cayman.

FH and I went last year and we loved it! My parents go every year! It is very relaxing, lots of water sports, gorg beaches, good restraunts. We stayed at the Westin but my parents always stay at the Ritz.

I am actually going there in 2 weeks - Mike (FH) made presidents club (for work) again and they are having it at the Ritz Carlton the first weekend in March. I can take pics and tell you all about it.
It is going to be a very short trip - thursday afternoon - leaving sunday morning.. but hey - we didn't have to pay!

Re: cayman islands anyone?
i stayed there for a week... i think at the marriott?? i dunno, whatever the nice chain place is. it's really beautiful but when we went (which was like almost 10 years now) the beach was getting really small bc of the hurricanes. you really also should stay around the resort/cruise ship area -- the other parts are really bad (but that's like any other island really).
