CB Bridal Showcase Last Night

I didn't go, but glad you had a good time! (I haven't been to any bridal showcase oddly enough!). I am all about a band. We booked one and are using Hank Lane. A lot of girls are using a DJ and a lot of us are using bands so we can definitely recommend a bunch of great ones.

Just out of curiosity, which band showcased last night?

I went last night and I agree with you. My FH and I were blown away by Heart and Soul that we considered booking them even after we got a price. Don't get me wrong Body Rock is great and they get the crowd going but you just can't compare after hearing a really good live band. Today our heads are clear and it is just not in the budget. Booking Heart and Soul is half the cost of my reception....We could do it but it is insane. If I hit Lotto I am calling.

Did you try Frank Wayne's other bands? They have four bands. Vision is supposed to be as good as Heart and Soul.

Who went last night? We went and had a good time. I always thought I wanted a DJ, but seeing the band perform last night blew me away. They were really awesome. Now, I don't know if we should start researching bands (because this one had our wedding date booked already) or research DJ's?

marina i felt the same way!!!!!! bands are like 7k though and im soo disappointed cause it doesnt fit in our budget.

I know the guy told me they would have it next week at Fox Hollow I believe. I will try to go and see if we like them.

I can't believe that we actually have the band in the mix now. I kind of wish I didn't see them so we would just go with the DJ, but now I really want a band. It is expensive though - I haven't looked at DJ's yet so I don't know the pricing, but this band would have been about $7200.

I didn't go but I understand your dilemna about booking either a dj or band. Originally we were going with a DJ b/c of our budget. But we still looked into bands, just to gain an idea of price. Well we ended up meeting with a band that completely blew us away and decided to go with them. This was probably our toughest decision throughout the wedding planning.

Trust me, I never thought I would want a band either because I felt like I wanted to hear the song how it originally sounds. BUT, that was all before I heard this band play yesterday. Prior to this, we went to one wedding that had a band and it was probably one of the less fun ones we went to. This band was soo different, upbeat and sounded awesome. Now, I'm not sure what I want . . .

SAME. i thought DJ all the way but the band was AMAZING. Too bad I can't afford a 7K band or I would booked them last night!

Maybe them already having our date booked is a sign - either a sign to go with a DJ or a sign to look at other bands.

Mar....I thought it was a sign too. except that I wanted a band all along. I loved Heart and Soul AND Vision (best out of the 10 bands that I went to see play live), but they were both booked for my date.

I told Frank Wayne to put my name down and call me if they some how got a cancellation...welll...frank called me about a month ago and Heart and Soul happened to have some sort of cancellation. We saw them again the next week (w/my fam this time) and booked them on the spot.

I'd def recommend checking out Vision..I'd say they are just as good!

Definitely check out Ultimate Sounds! That's who I'm using. And check out the mixes that Raphael does...they showed me them when I went there and he is so official, lol.
