CD favors

Did everyone pick love songs?

We picked all love songs, but ones that had very special meaning to us, and the last 2 songs were French Love Songs to bring in my background

We wound up not doing cd's...but our idea originally was to use the first dance songs of everyone in our families, and indicate on the cd whose song it was and their wedding date. So we would have had our parents songs, my sisters, my brother, aunts, uncles...etc. I just thought it was so sweet to pay tribute like that, but we opted out of doing cd's because we had a lot of older guests that didn't even know what a cd player was.

we didn't use love songs, but put the songs that were our favorites on CD, and included first dance, last dance and parent dance songs.

CD's from weddings are my favorite things!! Mine will prob be a compilation of all the songs played at the wedding. Last song will prob be that gg dagastino song I'll Fly With You. It is one of 'our songs', was the biggest hit the summer we met and it is always on when we are in the car together oddly enough.

we had 90% love songs & about 4 uptempo/dance songs to break it up a bit. But they were still in the love category

I picked our spot light dances first, then all different types of loves songs...from Sinatra, Elvis, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Fatih Hill, Barbara Strisand, Barry White...I mixed in upbeat and slow songs.
I fugured this way everyone will enjoy it.

What made you decide not to do them?

Just the crowd we had. We had a lot of older family that would have no use for them, and we both work in music, and CD would probably have had more of a 'corny' impact on them (jaded music industry idiots...lol).

Ours we love type songs. I must say that they were a huge hit. I was surprised because I wasn't really into doing them - DH was. I still have people asking me if I have anymore copies - almost 2 years later!

I received a CD as a favor at a wedding recently. It has all love songs on it and I must say it has to be one of my favorite CDs.

T- all the ones I have received have love songs, but if I was doing one I would also include non love songs. There are so many songs that have meaning to us that are NOT love songs.

We are using love songs but also some faster songs and even a few corny/cheesy songs like - If You Get Caught Between The Moon and NYC the Best That You Can Do is Fall In Love. We were both born and raised in the city so we thought this song was fun. We even put it on the front of our CD cover and put all different pictures of NYC around it.
