Re: Cds for Wedding Favors
I dont think it is a question of cheesy vs. NOT cheesy but truth be told, every time I have received a CD favor, I played it once and never again. It would be a pity to waste time to burn CDs and make labels for something that people may not play over and over again.

I have gotten that as a favor 2 times- both were cool-the bride and groom chose songs that meant something to them-I liked it alot~

Re: Cds for Wedding Favors
JMO but, I have gotten plenty of the recently also. I also only listened once and it was just the first few seconds of every song. I just personally feel that at this point, if people want that kind of CD it is so easy to burn it themselves that they will just do that. Sorry for any girls that are doing CDs. I do not mean to offend anyone.

Re: Cds for Wedding Favors
depends on the music
it's cheesy if it is the same old wedding music that I always here, but it's great if the songs are unique and special to the bride and groom

Re: Cds for Wedding Favors
i don't think they are cheesy - but i do think they are not appropriate for a traditional wedding. I like them better at showers, engagement parties, etc.
just my opinion though....

Re: Cds for Wedding Favors
I thought about giving out CDs for favors, but then I was concerned about some of the older guests not even having CD players to listen to them!!!
I might just get them for my BP as part of their gifts. Songs we're having played at the ceremony and reception.

Re: Cds for Wedding Favors
I'm doing CDs as wedding favors. As far as I'm concern I think its a great idea! I'm burning renaissance music for my medieval themed wedding. I truely believe that this is something my guest will keep for as long as the CD will hold up. So I say, go for it!

A lot of elderly are now being given CD players and DVD players by their children and grandchildren. If they don't make a few cassets.

Things that are useful such as wine stoppers, coffee scoops etc. I will be doing donations...I know not useful for my guests but useful for someone else.

Re: Cds for Wedding Favors
I've gotten a CD as a favor, and honestly I threw it away. I wasn't crazy about the songs.
