Re: CELEBRITY CRUISES

I have never personally taken this cruise but my parents have 3 times, one of my BM's also took it for her honeymoon, and I have taken 8 celebrity cruises in the past 10 years.
I would be happy to tell you anything I know. I would highly recommend this cruise

Re: CELEBRITY CRUISES

I'm sure you will love this cruise. My hubby and I took the Norwegian cruise from Boston to Bermuda and had a fabulous time. Considering that Celebrity is considered to be much better then Norwegian, I can only imagine how great it will be! Its such a low stress way to travel, and Bermuda is so gorgeous.

Re: CELEBRITY CRUISES

THIS IS THE BEST CRUISE SHIP EVER! I am obsessed with the Celebrity cruise lines and have taken many ships with them.

Here is the situation: The Zenith and Horizon are the older of the fleet but they just revamped them not too long ago. When I say old, they were built in 1992 and were refurb. in 1997.... They are smaller the size of the other ships, but I heard that they were a lot of fun!!! The celeb ships are more luxurious and you will be SO pampered. They are very clean and all of the rooms are tastefully decorated. It is more sedate than Royal Carribean and way more than Carnival. There is entertainment and young couples but you won't see frat guys going crazy or screaming in the halls. Think guys in dockers or Khakis.... Not a round the night Party!

Re: CELEBRITY CRUISES

My fh and I went to Bermuda last june when I got engaged and we took Royal Caribbean cruises right out of ny. it was wonderful. I've heard that carnival is more of a party cruiseline. Royal Caribbean is more layed back, hope this helps, you can email if you want any additional information.

Re: CELEBRITY CRUISES

FH and I took the Horizon from NY to Bermuda in June. It was beyond amazing! Both the Horizon and the Zenith are smaller than some of the other ships that go to Bermuda, but that is so that they can fit into the port at Hamilton that does not accomodate huge ships. Or so they told us It was amazing. We will definitely take that cruise again some day. The food was just incredible and there were so many different places to go to at night. You will not be disappointed. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to forum email me.

Re: CELEBRITY CRUISES

I went to Bermuda this summer on the Zenith for 7 days, leaving from NYC. The ship was great and yes you do get pampered. The food is fabulous!!!! From what I've heard, Celebrity is the more 'adult' cruise line, but when I went there were a lot of families and children. I know that Celebrity has a new fleet out. You should check those out too. Good luck!

Re: CELEBRITY CRUISES

I went on the Horizon last spring to Bermuda, and it was wonderful. I can't say enough great things about this cruise. I heard from a friend (not sure whether or not it's true) that Carnival is introducing a cruise from NYC to Bermuda next year. If that's the case, and I had to choose between Carnival and Celebrity, I'd definitely pick Celebrity. I went on a Carnival cruise to the caribbean, and it was like one big party, with LOTS of children everywhere, and the food and service was nowhere near as good as celebrity.

Re: CELEBRITY CRUISES

I took the Horizon to Bermuda. I had a great time. They really do treat you like a 'celebrity'. When you met a crew member in the hallway they would step to the side when you walked through. The food was excellent. The service even better. Bermuda is gorgeous. It is a great trip. You don't have to worry about anything!

Re: CELEBRITY CRUISES

I took the Celebrity Horizom cruise to Bermuda two summers ago. (Someone told me that Horizon is a little nicer - bigger than the Zenith - not sure if that is true).

I had a very nice time. The food was awesome. The ship was great. There isn't too much nightlife on the boat (but hey - not too important on your honeymoon - I went to Hawaii where there was zero nightlife). But there is nightlife in Bermuda in Hamilton (clubs and bars and stuff). The only thing on my cruise was the average age was about 55. Not many young or honeymoon couples...could have just been the week I picked. I would recommend the cruise!
