Celebrity marriages we should praise

Original post by JPC1125

Im so sick of hearing that another couple is getting divorced...makes me think that noone takes their vows seriously anymore.

so I think we should make mention of all the marriages in the public eye that have survived the test of time ( more than 6 months anyway)

I respect Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman- now even though it was second marriages for them, they have been together over 40 years and they are still totally in love.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Boderick- but I am sure living in NY helps!

Homer and Marge

My favorite couple! Great to see that The Simpsons writers haven't succumbed to the pressures of Hollywood and divorced them.

But I truly admire Kevin and Kyra too!

Shannon Elizabeth announced her seperation from her husband today!

thats why i started this thread

IM DONE with celebrity divorces....they are making my life seem doomed!!!!

Jenn - don't think like that. They have a lot of pressure (or so they say) that we will never know. Unless of course we all start making 20 million dollars for a few months work.

Denzel Washington has been married to his wife for a looong time. Same with Mike Myers and his wife, and Robin Williams and his wife.
Maybe it helps when a celeb marries a NON celeb!

Jamie Lee Curtis & Christopher Guest (he's best known for doing those mockumentary movies like Spinal Tap and Best in Show).

They've been together for 20+ years and make it a point to keep their marriage & children out of the limelight. They also seem like cool, down to earth people.

Oh yes...love Jamie Lee and Christopher. And Best in Show cracks me up, just like A Mighty Wind...he's a genious!

What about Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, sure they are not married but they've been together for a long time.

It must be so difficult to come home to your gorgeous, spotless (the maid takes care of that) mansion to find dinner cooked by your personal chef.

I feel their pain, truly I do!
