Cell Phone Ticket Poll

How many of you have gottn a ticket for getting caught driving w/ your cell phone?

Just curious

How much was the tix??

never... but i Always use hands free... though i barely talk on my phone while i'm driving.

sorry- it drives me crazy when i see people talking on their phones (w/ no hands free, etc).

I know. So i put mine on speaker and lay it in my lap. Now i just look like i talk to my crotch

I won't say not yet b/c I never have the phone to my ear when I am driving...I alwya have it on speaker. So I guess i am 'no' rather than 'not yet'

yes AND it was on my 21st birthday- my first ticket He didnt even wish me a happy birthday!!!!needless to say I did learn my lesson and have been driving with the hands free thing ever since!

I NEVER use the phone while driving.. I think it's irresponsible hands free or not

I need to talk? I pull over. It is insane what people do while they are on the phone, hands free or not. Their attention definately isnt on their driving!!!

but I think they really should enforce it, some people are scary with their cell phones!

I got pulled over for it but didnt get a ticket.

AndI'm ashammed to say that I didnt leard my lesson b/c I still do it

I had a cop once accuse me of talking on my cell when I wasn't.

I told her that she is mistaken...because my cell phone is in my purse, which was in my back pack in the back seat of my car.

She argued with me and said that she saw the cell phone...and that I have some nerve to lie to her face.

I told her that she is free to check the backpack/and purse....because there is no way I would me able to pack it away so quickly after being pulled over.

Then just as she was getting heated she saw the remote to my radio on my lap....she asked what that was...I showed it to her....she apologized for the misunderstanding....I told her no problem....I should have known that my laziness would get me into trouble.

She laughed and told me to have a nice day.

$150! I have to pay it now..I was pissed. I was pulling into a parking lot and the phone rang and I was expecting a very important call but my handsfree was in my other car..

I usually use a handsfree, but I take the train to work and don't drive much during the week.

I use speaker phone- but I hold it in my hand- I guess that is still bad

but no worse the the women putting on make up- or people reading newspapers- yelling at there kids etc
