hi i am also trying to instill some of our irish heritage in our wedding- we are going to as a favor give claddagh letter openers- i love what the claddagh symbolizes and hope people find the letter opener useful!

My cousin had hired 3 celtic dancers at her wedding, which performed near the end of the ceremony, everyone loved it.

There was a 2010 bride on here and I LOVED her favors, Mini Irish Soda Breads!

There is also a bride review by diva7531, you can search her review for ideas, as she had an Irish themed wedding.

Irish Dancers!! (I'm an Irish dancer/instructor.. so i always push for them )
wrapwithus.com has a bunch of celtic/irish favors.

are you looking for full out 'celtic theme' or are you looking for celtic elements?
they sell unity candles with different knots on them, you can get jewelery, incorporate colors (ps- if you're going irish then be sure to incorporate blue...)

but if you're doing full out themes, then try going with more of a Pagan element, with more 'nature' looking CPs.

My unity candle had a celtic knot on it...

i was going to also get celtic knot key chains as favors at first... but then i figured because not everyone was irish that really wouldnt work...

Another bride on here gave me the idea of doing a hand fasting ceremony (tying hands together - it's actually where tying the knot came from!) As I researched about it I found out it was a Celtic tradition

We did a handfasting at our ceremony in October. No one had seen anything like it and our guests thought it was so unique. With the handfasting, we had Pastor April read the hands poem.
My uncle also read a version of the Irish Blessing at the ceremony. I googled Irish Blessing and there are so many versions, I just kept looking til I found 1 we liked.

I agree! I took Irish dancing lessons when I was a girl and loved it! I think it's just as enjoyable to watch, especially the great costumes.

Also, play Irish music. You can have traditional music or with a more modern twist. FM me with any questions!

I had a celtic themed wedding (even down to the Kilts!) My husband is in a bagpipe band, and they came and performed during the reception as well as playing at the chuch. If you would like some more ideas, please FM me! Here are some pictures of my bridal party!

We're having Irish Dancers at our wedding as well. I was a champion irish dancer when I was younger.

Bag Pipers as you leave the Church
Have the Irish Wedding Song played at your ceremony
