Re: center piece stand
i think you keep the whole centerpiece - are you giving them away at the end of the night? if so, you probably wound not have to give anything back to the florist. talk to your florist to confirm, or if you have not booked one yet, make sure to ask at your appts.

Most of the high centerpieces you have to give back the stand and you just take off the top part. You are paying to rent the stands usually, but check with ure florist!

It's not a silly question. My FH and I actually had an argument over it. He said you don't get to keep the base and I said of corse you do. (he's a guy. what does he know?) So at a bridal expo we went up to a florist and asked...Nope. You don't get to keep them. They are rented and need to be returned to the florist after the wedding. The flower bowl on top of the base lifts off and that you can keep.

Re: center piece stand
The MC/DJ can make an announcement that to take the centerpiece home just lift the bowl off the base. I think the florist will come and pick them up, just like they dropped them off. But check with them to make sure.

If you do want guests to take the entire CP and stand- the florist will probably charge you a lot for it. Otherwise, they can just pick it up. Make sure to let your RH know b/c they need to inform athe waitstaff and matre'd- and also band/dj as someone mentioned.

Re: center piece stand
I thought my florist collects them at the end and the guests only take home the flowers. If the guest get to take home the whole big CP then thats great for them

Re: center piece stand
The top removes from a high centerpiece and the flowers are usually in a bowl thingy. Our florist picked up our stands after the wedding. Not a stupid question at all!

Re: center piece stand
Depending on what your deal with your florists but I think most places they rent out the stands & they will come collect it after the party. They are pricey too (I asked one of the florists I was interviewing about it & he said that I am responsible for the stands & to make sure that the guests don't take the CP stands by mistake).
I guess you just have to make sure that the DJ announce something or let the BM or waitstaff know that guests are only allowed to take the flowers & not the whole thing...lol that thing is so HUGE who wants to take those home anyways?
