So last week I went to a showcase which was lots of fun but gosh center pieces are hard flowers / candles/balloons what is ur feel on things?
well, having a spring affair and when i think of spring, i think of lots of flowers. so, i'm definitely having a fair amount of flowers at my wedding.
hmmm for a wedding i dont know about balloons...i love flowers and lots of candles...i prefer high centerpieces and love the combo of flowers with the branches

Im going with lots of beautiful flowers in high stands cause the room that were have the reception in has really high ceilings. Plus I would like to have a lot of votive candles all over the room.
I dont know about balloons. Makes me think of prom.
i am thinking about going with the lower centerpieces and incorporating candels in it as well...
Well FH's brother loves to make wine. So him and his wife are making us wine and bottling it for us. We are giving those as our favors, with a picture of us as the label, well we are useing those and candles, and some rose petals as the center pieces.

I'd vote for flowers, candles, or a combination. I think of sweet sixteens and Bar Mitzvahs when I think of balloon CPs, JMO
I like flowers and candles better for a wedding... I'm going with a lower CP since Westbury Manor has low ceilings... Large martini glasses with flowers inside and around the bottom surrounded by flower petals and votive candles... you can kinda get an idea from the Pedestals website, its in gallery 2 and the 5th picture from the bottom! I don't really like balloons for a wedding either, I had them as my centerpieces for my sweet 16!
I'm not sure if i'm going to use silk flowers or fresh flowers. I heard silk flowers can get pretty expensive too. If i get silk flowers though... i will have FSIL do my arrangements. She used to own a florist shop on jericho tpke. Thank god for that.
