SO we are finally moving into the apartment portion of our house this weekend. I am pretty familiar with the area because I work nearby, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any shortcuts to tell me about. Right now the only way I know how to get to the expresway is by Nichols road. Is there a way with less traffic? Where is the cheapest gas? I am also looking for a female doctor in the area for me and a dentist for me, and a vet for Gizmo. I have lived in the Town of Smithtown my whole life... is there anything I need to know about the town of Brookhaven?

Welcome to the area! It's known as the Town of CROOKhaven!
Not sure where you are in Centereach, but more than likely the best way to the LIE is Nichols Road or Holbrook Road. I used the vet on Middle Country Road across from the Car Wash. It's Dr. Sito now....used to be a woman.
Not sure of cheapest gas...never really look

PS- the vet I use for cooper is Dr. Zangara in Port Jeff station. He is with the Roosevelt Animal Hospital. He is great!!!! I would highly recommend him!

I am a few blocks off Mark Tree (near the schools). I work in Stony Brook in the Incubator next to the hospital.
