Our wedding is in 55 days. We're meeting to do a walk through w/florist next week.
I'd like to find an alternative to only cut flowers for my reception (for the cocktail we're doing floating flowers). Marcella's feather's are beautiful, but wouldn't fit the style of our daytime garden wedding-same reason candles alone don't work for me.
So, we're thinking fruit bowls interspersed with flowers, living plants or some other option, but I haven't seen any good pics (saw one on the centerpiece thread but it looked like a fall collection). Maybe Glass bowls filled with water with thin slices of lemons and limes floating on top?
Anyone seen ANYTHING that would keep us from having centerpieces that eventually get thrown away? We're trying to conserve

I've never seen that...do you have any pics or could you describe how that's used as a centerpiece?
How about something with Ivy around it? Here is something from Calyx & Corolla to give you an idea:
Edited to say: That's a potted mini-rose bush in the center. It would allow your guests to take them home and then plant them.

Thank you! I love these pics. I think we're opting away from candles b/c it's daytime, but I'd love to see more!
