I am getting married on new years eve but havent found a florist yet, We sorta planned this wedding last min. Does anyone have any ideas for a centerpiece? Ive been to 3 florists so far and they all told me the same.. red roses. I wanted to do something with a holiday theme. What do ya think? Thanks

Re: centerpiece for new years eve wedding
How about something white and 'snowy' like white roses with missletoe that has those dark green leaves and little red berries. Go to the library and look at some back issure of better homes and gardens, bridal books, and other magazines that are from January to get ideas! Sounds like it can be beautiful! Let us know!
With shiny, silver stars shooting out of beautiful winter evergreens, this arrangement is like a dream unto its own. Eucalyptus, fir and pine, decorated with silver stars and balls.
or maybe instead of flowers, you can get party hats, streamers, noise blowers and confetti and put in the middle of the table. Maybe put a bucket of champagne with one or two inexpensive champagne glasses and scatter the other stuff around. If it's truly New Year's Eve, then you could definitely get away with it. Get big poinsettas!!! I think that would look lovely!
Or a few small ones clustered together.
That would look festive for the holiday season and they are inexpensive!

Congrats! I also am a New Years Eve bride. You can use tall dogwood sticks with white lights and white callie-lillies.

Here are some ideas: (hope it helps) you could get foil sprays and make an entire arrangment (like marcellabella did with feathers) they come in assored colors are 21' and are only like $5 for 12 123party.com You could sprinkle confetti on the tables Or you could insert the sprays into floral centerpieces like this
You could also do centerpieces like these and add X-mas/evergreen tree ferns and holly leaves and berries

Or you could make your own tree with white lights & add what ever decoration, flowers you want on it or to the base. Tree Branch Centerpiece Tree branches (minus the leaves) Spray paint (silver or gold) Flower pot Foam block Lace Mini lights Pearls Glue Wrapping paper or tulle
Spray paint the tree branches and let dry. Glue the foam block into the bottom of the flower pot. When the tree branches are dry, stick the ends into the foam. Decorate the branches with the lace, pearls, and lights. You can also use other items to decorate the branches. Wrap the flower pot in the wrapping paper or tulle to finish off the centerpiece. You can battery operated tree lights christmaslightsetc.com

I think hats/noisemakers/confetti/etc would be a really fun idea with maybe just some candles and/or minimal flowers/greenery.

I don't know if anyone suggested this yet, but how about different sized pillar candles on a mirror? I think that looks really nice and you could put rose petals all around.
