Re: centerpiece giveaway?
Have the MC announce the CPs will be given to important people in your lives such as your parents, a special aunt, MOH- you can leave an envelope on each table stating who the 'winner' is.

Re: centerpiece giveaway?
People are generally smart enough to know that at the end of the night they are welcome to take the CP. I've never seen any of these 'games' people play, and I'm not having them....and I can pretty much guarantee they'll all be gone.

Re: centerpiece giveaway?
we might do whoever's traveled the farthest to attend the wedding, or maybe who's birthday is coming up, will get the cp. this is so people don't 'fight' over them.

I'm not going to worry about that. I'll assume that they'll work it out amongst themselves in a civil manner. If not, I hope they 'fight it out' when I'm not around. LOL

you might want to arrange some sort of giveaway.
I thought the same thing that you did. But, at the end of my reception, I was horrified to see 2 of DH's female cousins grabbing centerpieces off of 4 different tables.

Re: centerpiece giveaway?
i'm having mine taken apart by the hall and made into little bouquets for all the women to take with them. my MIL saw this at a wedding once and told me about it and i thought it was a really cute idea.

Re: centerpiece giveaway?
your DJ usually has different ways of doing this I'm sure
My caterer is going to break down the centerpieces for us and hand a bouquet to each person as they leave.

Re: centerpiece giveaway?
We are putting a sticker under one chair at every table and at the end of the night whoever is sitting in that chair gets the cp. We didnt want to play any games, or have anyone trying to take all of them, so this was easy enough.

Re: centerpiece giveaway?
WE're giving them to the oldest couple at the table....if not, then we'll put the names in a hat, and give them away...Cheesy, but makes life easier so that there's no 'favortism.'

Re: centerpiece giveaway?
My place broke down the CPs and made mini arrangements for the ladies. I've seen lots of other things, but I think this was the most efficient use of the flowers. Everybody got to enjoy them.

Re: centerpiece giveaway?
My centerpiece actually has 4 breakaways, so each couple gets to take home flowers! Kinda look like this:

Actually, at my wedding, most people didn't take centerpieces home. I thinkbecause they were candle centerpieces, people thought they belonged to the hall. It was just the people left at the end who knew and my sister ended up lugging a lot of them home. We gave some away to friends after the wedding. In retrospect, I wish I had told the DJ to mention that people could take them if they wanted them.

Re: centerpiece giveaway?
I don't like the games. People will take them if they want them- they always do.
I did mention it to a few people that lived in the area when they said goodbye.
