Centerpiece height

Do you feel that tall centerpieces hinder conversation between guests? If not, what's a good height for a vase?

I did a mix of tall and short. I know my MOH's FIL would have taken a tall one off the table, so I sat him at a table with a short CP lol. I didn't hear any complaints from people sitting at the tables with high CPs though.

no, one table is high, the other is low.. we are having about 20 tables, so 10 tall 10 short. The tall one is 24 in. in a glass vase with the flowers in a ball at the top kind of.. but the vase is clear so it shouldn't hinder anyone's view.. the short ones are long floral arrangements that go across the length of the table... I thought that by doing the high-low alternating in the room would open it up a little more

We are doing all low. I don't like the high ones. I have been to weddings where it hinders conversations because you can't see across. But they are very pretty

We're doing all low because I've been to weddings where the tall pieces weren't slender enough to not block everyone. BUT I have been watching a lot of rich bride, poor bride lately and all the high Cps on the show always look fab!
