Centerpiece Help!

Centerpiece Help!

Hello Ladies!

I'm getting married at the end of the year at the Westbury Manor, and am starting to think about centerpiece ideas. I had wanted to do something with a hurricane lamp and candle surrounded by flowers, but the traditional floral ring is circular and only 10 inches in diameter, which I fear is too small for those long oblong tables in the manor room. Does anyone have any ideas to fill up the space? I'm thinking of mainly white flowers, and the color scheme is silver with a black accent. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be very grateful

Thanks!

Sounds similiar to what I had done. we got a floating candle centerpiece and took 5' mirrors and glued a candle to the mirror with rocks also glued around it. (candle mirror in my wedding album). You can buy bigger mirrors if you think 5' is too small. The florist connected the 3 pieces with flowers-the floating candle in the middle and the mirror candles we made with one on each side of the floating candle. I had the candles custom made (little pricey) because DH was very picky on the candles he wanted. I think we paid about $3 for each candle and got 24 candles. Also, on the mirror, we glued white lace w pearls around the mirror. It is def a time consuming project. Addl, we glued a wedding ribbon around the candles with a white bow.

Here are some ideas....I think rose petals, different size candles, or votives should make the tables look more decorated so you don't feel like it's too small for the tables.

I had wondered the same thing about the oblong tables being too long for our single CP. We ended up deciding to dress up the rest of the table simply with rose petals.

Re: Centerpiece Help!

what about a floral centerpiece then candle and rose petals all around it but spread out to the sides more than in a circular shape.... so that it's even and everyone has something pretty infront of them.
