Centerpiece ideas

Hi, ladies,

Ok, the K of C provides centerpieces but not sure if they're really what we want. Was thinking of possibly doing our own silk flower ones or I saw these beautiful hurricane candle holders in A.C. Moore last night but I'm thinking candles may not be good as FMIL is on oxygen.

Can anyone recommend something unique for centerpieces besides flowers and candles?
