My friend Sara is doing ours. They are roses and in my album. She is relly good too! Her email is [email protected]. She works for 1800flowers but does weddings and stuff on the side. Good luck.

what was it that u didn't like?
maybe you could still use the branches and add roses around the base or something.

if you still want to diy....you can order flowers from a wholesaler (or figure out a way to pick them up from nyc if u could swing that)....and do like loose bunches

ginaz did 1-2 stem(s) (tulips) in budvases

u can buy the containers at ikea, michaels, acmoore (they have the tall cp ones too), jamali gardens, save-on-crafts etc.

i read a few posts about people suggesting costco and stop and shop

see I have 3 foot branches.. they kind of swril and the they were being painted silver and black., in an 11' vase with colored stone. small votives around the bottom, they do not go with the rest of the wedding at all

Is there a way to incorporate the fushia into it- maybe that would help it match better- maybe get clear vases & fill them with something fushia to get the color scheme in?

That is what I did. I didnt like it. I dont know what I was origionally picturing in my head but I dont like it. I think I rather just have them done if I can afford it!

Kim - email Burtons([email protected])...just tell them the general idea of what you're interested in and quantity and they'll email you a quote. They're great!

Kim, have you thought about going to Stop and Shop? I hear they do a great job and their prices are really resonable.

Are you absolutely against doing candle CPs? That would cut cost more than half!

Also, I've seen some really nice carnation CPs and those can be dyed any color and they're really cheap.

Good luck... don't sweat it, you've got more than enough time

I saw a bride use this site on a wedding show. Maybe something worth checking out?

Our hall came with an inhouse florist, I did meet with him but ended up not using him because we had already booked our florist at that time and we would have lost more money...but he is a little small no biggie kind of place but he was giving us a really reasonable deal almost 800 something for 12 centerpieces! FM if you want more information.

I STILL haven't decided what I'm going to do for CPs but for flowers overall I was going to go the Wholesale route. Then after I made an awesome arrangement for my mum for Mother's Day I was thinking of going the supermarket route as well. I forget who but another bride (07 I think) got all her flowers from Stop & Shop.
